Unexpected Stop

"Kathy, I need you to take these plans to the crew working on county road 9, and you can take the company car." Kathy had been with doing the administrative work for the counties' crews and was well acquainted with the remoteness of some of the areas they worked in. She drank her third cup of coffee and then headed out the door for her destination. The day was nice and sunny and she turned on the radio fully intending to enjoy the brief freedom from the office. The trip would take about 45 minutes one way and she was in no hurry to return.
