Caught Out and Caught Short
By: Robert (31 May 2003, Saturday)

Caught out and Caught Short When we are at home and May is going to be there alone in the evening I suggest that she locks the door after about 7 in the evening because we have had a spate of conmen trying gain entry. The summer had ended and it had turned cool with rain almost every day. I had to go to a meeting that finished after 9 and would not be back till after half past. In order to be linked we had a meal together as well as a large bottle of fizzy orange. My meeting would end with a cup of tea so she promised to have one at the same time. We would wait till I got back to let it out. Well, the meeting lasted a bit longer than expected, as did the tea drinking so both of us had an extra cup. On the…

Gardening
By: Robert (31 May 2003, Saturday)

You would hardly expect people on boats to have much chance to indulge in gardening but you'd be wrong. Lots of boats have rows of window boxes lined up on the roof (cabin top) alight with displays of flowers and I'm a bit sniffy about them. I take a practical attitude to our boat and like to think of myself as an accomplished sailor doing things in a workmanlike manner. To me the cabin top is working space not to be cluttered with frivolities. May, on the other hand, likes to see the plants and suggested that we join the bourgeoisie. I was having none of it but she persisted till I said in jest that the only plants I could accept would be good practical vegetables. And this I supposed was an end to the…

Five O'clock
By: Robert (31 Mar 2003, Monday)

We had intended to stop our stories, give up fantasies, become decent members of polite society but.... Its 3 o'clock in the morning and I've just been for a wee. As I creep back into bed, May mumbles in her sleep rolling over to deny me even the three inches of mattress she usually allows me. Carefully I clamber over her to take her side of the bunk. The duvet doesn't stretch to my new side because May has it all. Is it like this for everyone who sleeps with someone else? She looks so sweet curled up comfortably that I haven't the heart to yank the cover over to me. My ploy is to slide very close to her and put my arms around her. When she's asleep all her actions are reflex. She mumbles again and returns…

Wear them all Week
By: Robert (28 Feb 2003, Friday)

Have you ever heard someone say they wouldn't wash the place where you kissed for a week? It's usually a jest. I'll never hear it again without a shiver. We met up with a couple from Swindon soon after returning to the boat one Friday evening. We asked them round for a drink after our custom when tied up next to another boat for the night. The weather turned cool so we remained inside chatting and the conversation got round to wet matters because they asked about the line of damp clothing hanging by the fire. Our regular hold–it had degenerated into a mass spraying just as we settled down to the evening meal. You already know about May and me, how we have been in the watersports way for a few years together.…

Tea in Bed
By: Robert (31 Dec 2003, Tuesday)

As an attempt to thank you for all the stories I've enjoyed at your site – here is an offering. It's not all true. There are in total 19 episodes and some are written by me (Robert), some by me and May, and some only by May. Here's episode 1: While cruising around the canals of England I stopped for the night in rural Warwickshire and wandered back along the towpath for a mile or so to an eighteenth century pub for a pint or two. On the way back the urge to pee arrived which is never a problem either in the country or on a boat, there's hardly ever anyone around. Being a half decent sort of chap I hopped over a gate into a field of sheep and had just opened up when a voice shouted, "There he is." I closed…
